Sea Perch

What is SeaPerch?

SeaPerch is an advanced studies program that introduces students to the wonders of underwater robotics. The program engages students in STEM activities in which they design and build an underwater robot (called a SeaPerch). The initiative focuses on bringing academia, government and industry to work together to nurture students interest in marine biology and engineering. Please visit the site for additional details.

Throughout the project, students will learn engineering concepts, problem solving, teamwork, and technical applications. Homework and weekly attendance are required.

Students learn important engineering and design skills and are exposed to all the exciting careers that are possible in naval architecture and naval, ocean, and marine engineering.
