First Lego League, Jr at DES

Do you love robots?
Do you want to learn more about how to make one?
Do you think engineering and computers are super fun?

Welcome to First Lego League Jr at DES!
Mondays, 3:55-5:15
October 7 – December 9, 2019

Introduce young children to science and coding concepts through hands-on, playful building challenges. Yes, you get to use Lego bricks. But this isn’t a Lego play club – it’s so much more.

This year’s theme is Boomtown Build! Students will get to design a project around that theme and use the latest WeDo 2.0 Education Kits to program that lego project to move! Make a crane that works! Make a gear that turns! Who knows what you and your team will come up with.

We can only host 25 participants and must limit to grades 1-5.
The awesome PowerHawks Robotics Club from South River High School will be sending over teams of teen PowerHawks members to guide our students through the whole process. We are excited to have them and hope you are too. We also plan to have an adult mentor at every session, so never fear. There will be snacks offered at each session

Fill in the form below to register. Due to the participant limit, we may be unable to accept all that apply (sorry…). However, we will work in order of form receipt as we fill the teams. You will get a confirmation e-mail sometime before or during the first week of October. Participating families will also get further details at that time.

See you soon FLL’ers!
