The Green School club is an after school club that meets twice a month at DES during the school year.
Meetings will be held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at 8:15 am.
At each meeting, we learn about ways in which we can be good stewards to our environment.
This is a hands-on club – we learn by doing. We spend as much time as possible outside learning by observing and doing.

In the past we have built miniature wind turbines, planted trees, worked with live terrapins and chickens.
We have had presentations from scientists, farmers, bee keepers, and naturalists.

In addition to the our meetings, we may also do a few special field trips. We work with the South River Federation to help keep our waters clean by planting living shore lines, buffers, and erosion step ponds.
